Wow it has been forever since I have looked at this blog. I just want to say if you are reading this, and you read the other posts, take them with a grain of salt, because I have changed so much since a lot of these. Don’t get me wrong, some seemingly immature inside jokes will always be funny. :) I mainly mean the philosophical posts, I had some views that looking back on it were probably not very healthy. That’s what I mean by changed. Anyway I just thought I would update this a little. I am now going to school at Texas Tech, not A&M…it was my parents decision, not mine. I would probably still be living in college station if I had the choice, but I do like at Tech for different reasons. For example I got a 4.0 last semester, all A+s to be exact! AND I actually love my roomates, we are really close and its so nice to have that for a change. We occasionally disagree, of course about politics, but that’s really it. And we both kinda like hearing the other side of politics so its not like a bad thing. But I have to say, in all my life I have never had so much DRAMA! Its not about anyone in Lubbock, its my old friends from college station, which is really weird. I am not going to go into detail about what happened because its basically a bunch of gossip. But a friend of mine is basically no longer my friend anymore. And that’s always sad. But you know this isnt my first friend to loose. I’ve gone through them, which I think is normal to anyone. I mean just watching “The Hills’ would tell you that! Haha…. But basically the lesson I have learned from this is I really don’t look up to anyone. We’re all humans that have flaws. That supposed friend of mine let me down and it was beyond hurtful what she did to me. Everyone lets you down. I just have learned that by growing up, its not supposed to sound jaded. That’s just life. Anyway, the past has already happened, let me tell you about the present. :) I have been traveling soo much, which I love! This summer I got to go to Boise Idaho to visit my cousin who’s one of the most entertaining people to be around! He is so funny…never a dull moment! And it was so nice because a big group of my family got to come for it- about 10 people! We went to this Japanese restaurant the first night and it was so good. I love places like that, at the end they toss you food and you are supposed to catch it in your mouth. I finally got the shrimp on the 2nd try! Boise is just so naturally pretty, the scenery is amazing. It’s mountanous, which I expected, but I didn’t realize how green it would be and there are like more than one river going through Boise. My dad and I biked on a bike path right along one of the rivers and it was so beautiful. My dad says it was one of the best and prettiest rides he’s been on and he’s biked all over. Boise has a lot to do as well…like theres this great downtown we spent most of our time. We ate at PF Changs one night, went and saw Ironman one night, which was really good. They have great shopping like Macy’s, Black and White store, Urban Outfitters and Anthroplopgie. O and my FAV! They have a pita pit!!! Ahhh I was happy! I haven’t had that in like a year…I def. ate there twice during our visit. My favorite thing we did was take a train ride in the moutains along one of the rivers. We got tha caboose! J and there were refreshments and nice chairs and of course a great view. So we really enjoyed our visit! I loved seeing my aunt because I havent seen her in so long (since the divorce), and shes so much fun to talk to, she was so sweet she got our whole family gifts for coming to visit Carson. Ok so next visit was to NOLA! One of my favs! We had to go apartment hunting for my sister who is…starting law school in the fall!! (at Tulane) The one we ended up getting costs as much as my parents house now…um yeah, I was kinda like whatever its yalls money… they claim they would do the same for me, so we will see about that if I pick a nursing school in say…New York city! Haha But we spent more time with family on the northside of the lake more than anything. I loved the day I got to spend with my dads cousin Carolyn and her son. We went to Francos, this super nice gym in Mandeville. They have a water and air resitant weight room which I loved, it seemed easier than weights but they claim its just as effective. Then we had lunch, there at the gym. Did I mention they have a restaurant and starbucks there?? So…I got this tiny (overpriced) like scoop of macaroni and a strawberry smoothie. Then collin and I hit the tennis courts! We were a pretty good match for each other! Haha we at least had a pretty good volley going a few times. It was SO frickin humid and hot though. We were playing in the heat of the day so our match didn’t last long. Later that day I went to my Aunt Medas and she wanted to go shopping. Earlier in the trip we went to Trey Yeun to celebrate both my uncle and cousins (his son) birthday. My aunt Meda got my uncle who’s a DA a Bill O’reily book. Haha that didn’t go over too well. He said something like “I cant believe how annoying this guy is..” So she felt kinda bad and thought she needed to give them both another gift. So we went to this department store. WOW that was an adventure. Well of course we stopped and talked to everyone Meda knew in the store, and I even met a family member for the first time! But the thing about Aunt Meda is, she was supposed to have died a long time ago. She, nor anyone else, thought she would be alive this long. WE LOVE HER of course! But shes just had so many health problems she kinda already spent her money. So she probably shouldn’t be buying all these gifts when she didn’t need to. But anyway, I go with her, pick the gifts out, then we leave the check out counter, and go ALL OVER the store. She realizes she doesn’t have her bag anymore. And shes like “oh doll go back to that check out counter and pick the gifts up!” I was just thinking how that did not sound right…and of course it wasn’t there. So we look ALL over the store. Some one could have easily stolen it. We were about to leave when there was ONE place we didn’t look and it was there. Ok so we got the gifts and left. Then shes like “I’m thirsty, are you?” And I was like, yeah I guess I could use a refreshment or something. So she goes to WENDYS and gets 2 frosties!!! Haha if you know my aunt that’s just how she is…she cooks the most fattening foods for like the whole town…shes so funny. “Our favorite fairy godmother” is what we call her. Ok SOOO, the last place I’ve been to this summer (oh yeah besides to visit my grandparents!) was to Dallas/Ft Worth to visit Ashley! We had so much fun, our relationship is never strained or anything even though we don’t get to see each other that much, we just pick up right where we left off. So we go out to Mi Cocina for dinner, with my mom. And although mexican food is not exactly on my diet, it was really good…hey I got beans and spinach, not too bad! So anyway as we were walking down the street, this older guy was like “wow yall are like so beautiful, that’s like not normal to be that pretty, that’s so weird!” haha I just laughed and ashley kind of gave him a bad look lol. Ashley says theres a lot of creepers in downtown. We basically spent the night in downtown…went to barnes and noble. Saw the Happening…I thought it was good and so did ashley, but this one person behind us was like, I want my money back! Ashley and I were like the only ones scared in the whole theatre. These black ladies were laughing at us when we’d yell. And we went shopping, went out to eat etc. I only stayed there 2 days, which that’s how long it took to get caught up on both of our lives! So soon…like 2 days, my friend erins coming to visit me for 4th of july! Yay I am so excited J Then I start summer school…and my life will be over. Maybe not but im taking the most you can in the summer. I need to unless I want to be here till 2010! Well that’s all for now! (I really wonder who reads this…so far 3 people have talked to me about it, but I wonder who reads it NOW).. Anyway if you are reading this, hopefully I know you, haha, just let me know whats going on in your life I would love to hear about it! I hate loosing touch with people. Ok so quote of the days gotta be: from Michael Ian Black on botox: "It doesnt make you look young, it just makes you look paralyzed. Have a stroke, its cheaper" lol I thought this was so funny…my kind of sense of humor. Its not like life changing but I love random quotes.
